The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the Orange Street I-20 overpass in Monroe, Ouachita Parish, will be under construction beginning Sunday, April 21, 2024.
 
This project will involve bridge structural repairs and repainting the affected area.
 
The project is expected to last ninety (90) days in which there will be nightly alternating lane closures on I-20 Eastbound.
 
The I-20 Eastbound alternating lane closure is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21, and is anticipated to be re-opened by 5:00 a.m. on Monday, April 22. Alternating lane closures will continue nightly until the project is complete.
 
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
