Richwood Road #1 Fire Station Temporarily Closed for 7 to 10 Days

Mayor Jamie Mayo and Fire Chief Terry Williams announce the temporary closure of the Richwood Road #1 Fire Station for mold remediation. 

Chief Williams states, “All ten of our fire stations have been evaluated and tested. Based upon the test results, Station # 8 will be closed for approximately 7-10 days for mold remediation. Additionally, all HVAC systems will be evaluated; all stations will be cleaned, as well as establishing new policies on housekeeping, thermostat settings, and fire station maintenance which should resolve any future concerns.” 

During the closing of station 8; Engine 108 will be housed at station #4 (Jackson St at Forrest Ave.)
