ORDINANCE

STATE OF LOUISIANA

CITY OF MONROE                                                                         NO.  11,889              

            The following Ordinance was introduced by Mr.  Wilson                who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Ms.  Woods                                    :

AN ORDINANCE APPROVING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT FOR 2018, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2020, BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY OF MONROE AND THE MONROE FIRE FIGHTERS ASSOCIATION, INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS, LOCAL UNION NO. 629, AFL-CIO AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:

            WHEREAS, the contract between the Monroe Fire Fighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters, Local Union No. 629 expired and the parties have been working toward a new agreement; and

            WHEREAS, the parties have reached an agreement, which is attached hereto;

NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the collective bargaining agreement effective the  27th   day of  November  , 2018 through December 31, 2020 by and between the City of Monroe and the Monroe Fire Fighters Association, International Association of Fire Fighters, Local Union No. 629 is hereby adopted.

            ORDINANCE INTRODUCED on the  13th    day of  November                , 2018.

NOTICE PUBLISHED on the  16th        day of  November                , 2018.

            This Ordinance having been submitted in writing, introduced and published, was then submitted to a vote as a whole, the vote thereon being as follows:

            AYES:            Echols, Ezernack, Woods & Wilson

            NAYS:            None

            ABSENT:       Clark

            And the Ordinance was declared ADOPTED on the  27th    day of  November          , 2018.
