Monroe Public Works asks City Residents to help keep Drainage Ditches Clear of Debris as we face Prediction of Heavy Rainfall this Week.

Monday, March 26, 2018 - 2:30pm

In anticipation of predicted heavy rainfall over the next 4-5 days, the City of Monroe Public Works Department is urging residents to ensure that all debris is cleared from yards, ditches, curb sides, drainage grates, etc. Residents should make sure their ditches are mowed and litter free so water can flow/drain properly.

Any precautions that can be taken prior to this rainfall would be most helpful in preventing possible localized flooding.

Sandbagging Operations

Have we started bagging? No, we have not started sandbagging operations yet. However, we will set up operations at multiple locations, and we will notify the public 24 hours before our sandbagging operations begin.
