Honorable Kenneth Wilson currently serves as Monroe City Councilman for District 4. In his second term as an elected official, Mr. Wilson is a lifelong resident of Monroe, La. He was formally educated through Neville High School and Northeast Christian Academy. He is married to Abbie Berry-Wilson and is the father of five adult children (KaReena, Kenneth Keith, Kennetia, Kira and a stepson Julian Woods). He is also a grandfather of four.
Mr. Wilson currently works with Atmos Energy where he has been noted as a loyal and dedicated employee for over 25 years. He served on the I-20 Economic Development Board and on the G. B. Cooley Hospital Board of Commissioners. He has functioned as vice president and in other capacities there for over 11 years. Mr. Wilson is an honorary reserve deputy with the Monroe City Marshal’s office, he was elected to the DSCC as the District 17 representative, and he also provides dedicated labor to the District 16 Economic Development Board in order to assist in revitalizing local communities.
On a personal note, Mr. Wilson is the President of his own non-profit entity known as P.E.E.P., Mr. Wilson works collaboratively with various businesses, agencies, community leaders and citizen in order to be a positive enterprise that empowers the public. Currently, Mr. Wilson is working with noted public officials, business persons, and local professionals to bring a major project to south Monroe.
